Ms. Orlando attended The College of Staten Island, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature, along with a certificate in secondary education, and minored in Italian. She is currently working towards her Master of Arts degree in English at The College of Staten Island, which she hopes to complete in one year.
Ms. Orlando taught English at New Dorp High School for two years at the freshman and sophomore levels. She has training in Ramp-Up, a literacy program for students deficient in reading and writing, and has experience working with students who have Asperger’s syndrome. Ms. Orlando has also taught summer school at Port Richmond High School and Petrides High School. She is extremely passionate about helping her students succeed.
In her spare time, Ms. Orlando loves reading a good book, traveling, and participating in any type of outdoor activity.
