Mrs. Gagliardi has been teaching Fine Arts to students in New York City for the past thirteen years. She has also taught English Language Arts to High School Sophomores and was Chairperson of the Fine Arts Department at Bishop Ford High School in Brooklyn. In recent years she was an adjunct professor of Fine Arts at St. Francis College, and a recipient of two grants focused on student enrichment through the arts.

Mrs. Gagliardi holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute where she graduated with highest honors. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in English Literature from the College of Staten Island. Mrs. Gagliardi has focused her teaching practice on the integration of the arts across the curriculum. She is particularly interested in the integration of English Language Arts and Fine Arts.

As a teaching artist she is also an accomplished sculptor, printmaker, and more recently, a jewelry designer. Some of her hobbies include black and white photography and writing poetry. She is very excited to be working with the students at The College of Staten Island High School for International Studies, and hopes to help them develop a lifelong love of learning.
